When I first started building my Adirondack chair I really didn’t know what I was doing. Sure I knew what one looked like, and I even got some free plans off the Internet to help me out.

I used galvanized deck screws to hold it together and even countersunk the screws and plugged the holes with cedar plugs to give it a more natural look.

Normally when I go about building something like this, I tend to use a book or magazine to get ideas from. The Adirondack chair design I got online was actually as detailed, if not more than a book.

My neighbors saw my chair and asked where I had bought it. I told them I made it and now they want me to make them one to, and since I know how to do it, it will take less time, and I can make some money on the side.
